GOLDEN, MS – Tommy Lee Ray, 68, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 22, 1945. He was a member of Pineville Baptist Church and was the former butcher for Big Star in Red Bay.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay with Bro. J.C. Blackburn and Bro. David Ray officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years-Betty Ray of Golden; three children-Tunya Scott (Ronald), Terry Ray (Tracy) and Angie Ray all of Golden; seven grandchildren-Jonathan Scott (Cady), Kayla Humphries (Dallas), Brittany Scott, Brock Ray, Zeke Lofton, Chloe Lofton, and Ben Lofton; three great granddaughters-Macie Humphries, Alli Beth Scott and Addison Scott; three brothers-Doug Ray (Rebecca), Jimmy Ray (Helen) and David Ray (Debbie); several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Rev. Eugene and Ruble Grissom Ray and one sister-Glenda Ledbetter.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Scott, Brock Ray, Stephen Ray, Zeke Lofton, Ben Lofton and Jeff Stephens.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL and until service time Tuesday.
