DIOHTON - Charles Phillip "Phil" Atterberry,
84, died Dec. 4 1988, at St. Catherine
Hospital, Garden City.
Born Jan. 17,1904, at Breckenridge, Mo.,
he married Ruby Marietta Terhune Aug. 29,
1929, at Diamond, Okla. He was a
farmer and stockman, and a resident
of Dighton since 1927.
He was a member of the United
Brethren Church, Breckenridge,
I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 286, the Bronco
Camping Club, both of Dighton, and
a charter member of the Kansas
Sun Chasers Camping Club.
Survivors: wife, of the home; brothers, Roy
and Emmitt, both of Dighton; sister, Mildred
Arnold, Independence, Mo.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the
First Christian Church, Dighton, the Rev.
Michael
Omundson. Burial will be at Dighton
Memorial Cemetery, with I. O.O.F.
graveside rites. Friends may call from noon
until 9 p.m. today at Boomhower Funeral
Home, Dighton. Memorials may go
to the Lane County Senior Ceneter.
