Services for Mrs. Dora Jane Thomas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2013 at Pineland Baptist Church, Clifton with Reverend Charles Boswell officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
The family requests that visitation be observed Monday at Pineland Baptist Church, Clifton from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Thomas, 77, of Alexandria passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Naomi Heights Nursing Home.
She was a member of Pineland Baptist Church and was loved by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, David Walker and Paul Thomas; parents, Eugene and Lula Clifton Tyler: step-mother, Annie Mae Tyler; brothers, Mark Tyler, Jerry Tyler; sisters, Shirley Jean Tyler and Wanda Sue Walker.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Lottie Tyler, David Walker, Lula Walker, Mary Walker and Patricia Walker; brothers, Floyd Tyler, Johnny Tyler, Gerald Tyler, Elvis Tyler, Luke Tyler; sisters, Blanche Thomas, Margaret Bayone, Naomi Brinkley and Elaine Bagby; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; special aunt, Nancy Clifton.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Deville, Caleb Stanfield, Logan Poole, Jimmy Tate, Conner Thompson and Dante Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Spencer Thompson, Chris Albarado and Floyd Joseph Tyler.
