"She was the daughter of Milton Wesley Smith and Alice Idora Tyson Smith, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Roscoe Beard; two sons, Carlton and Harold Beard, four sisters and one brother.
She was a member of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
She was survived by two sons, Floyd and Charles, one daughter Marie, three brothers, Howard of Tifton, Ira of Ashburn and Linton of Eastman, one sister Erma of Tifton, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Bowen Donaldson Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
