Merle G. Cooper, age 77, passed away April 27, 2013. Merle was born December 10, 1935 in Wheatfield, Indiana to Niles V. and Ruby Belle (nee: Graham) Cooper. On May 14, 1855, Merle and Norma Smith were married in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Merle is survived by his wife, Norma, three sons and one daughter, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 7 brothers, 2 sisters. Merle was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 11: 00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Roselawn. Services for Merle will take place at 1 p.m. at the church with Pastor Joel Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the DeMotte Cemetery.
