Charles Henry Cone, 67, of Enigma passed on April 27, 2013 from this life into the arms of his Lord and Savior at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mr. Cone's nephews will serve as pallbearers, Buck Peacock, Don Peacock, Keith Peacock, Ronnie Cone, J. Vernon Ellis Jr., Lee Cone and Joshua Clary. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Dowdy, Dick Milligan, Ronnie Storey, Bobby Metts, Sammy Conway, Bobby Conway, Larry Crumley and men of the Adult Sunday school class at Enigma Baptist Church.

Mr. Cone was born May 9, 1945 in Colquitt County to the late Cyrus Buck and Ivie Jeanette Sapp Cone. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles H. Cone Jr. and Jon Marc Stephens; two brothers, James V. Ellis Sr. and J.C. "Junior" Cone; and a sister, Martha "Dolly" Peacock. Mr. Cone retired from the Georgia Department of Labor. He was a member of Enigma Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed playing pool, fishing and other sports.

Mr. Cone is survived by his wife, Lenora Israel Cone of Enigma; a daughter and son-in-law, Eva D. "DeeDee" and Wallace Hughes of Enigma; a son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Tracy Stephens of Irwinville; four grandchildren, Eric Hughes, Amanda Hughes, Heather Stephens and Lane Stephens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John Emory and Latrelle Cone and Larry and Jean Cone; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolyn "Sister" and Johnny Moore and Patsy Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
