Clara was born December 30, 1908 in the Town of Hornby, the daughter of Edward and Luella Hammond. She retired in 1973 as an inspector for Corning, Inc.
Clara is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Florence and Don Forsyth of Horseheads, Ruth and Louis Keeney of Corning and Betty White of Horseheads; sister: Luella of Port Gibson; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter H. Ribble, son, Walter W. Ribble and grandaughters, Betty Sharman and Amy May White.
Visitation will be at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, Saturday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Services there Sunday at 10:30 am with the Rev. Richard Farrell, Officiating. Burial in Coopers Cemetery, Coopers Plains, NY.
