From the Gettysburg Compiler, Tuesday, April 6, 1830
Accident, on Thursday, March 31, 1830, Mr. Jacob Wolf, Berwick Twp., this Co, was found dead, in the vicinity of his residence. He was a cripple, had been at mill for a quantity of flour, and on his way home, in crossing over a fence, it is supposed that he fell, and the bag falling around his neck either dislocated it or choked him to death.
