He was survived by his wife, Mary Sue Plumley Greene and a son and daughter-in-law, Ross and Karen Greene, two granddaughters, and a brother. He was predeceased by nine of his ten siblings: Esther Analo, Isabel, Hollis, Christopher Loran, Josephine, Myrtle, Toy, Inez, and Carroll.
Ross was a veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. His last place of employment was Michelin where he served as a technical buyer. Following his retirement, he enjoyed raising cattle and working on the farm with his tractors, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
Ross was an active member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in his later years but earlier served as a Sunday School teacher at Tigerville Baptist and was a charter member of Edwards Road Baptist Church.
