eo Jack Wright, Jr., 70, of Chattanooga, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 25, 2013. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but had lived most of his life in the Dalton and Chattanooga areas. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from the Bailey Company in 2013 after more than 10 years of service. He was a member of the Dalton Elks Lodge and the Masonic Lodge #33 in Kennesaw F&AM. He loved classic cars, the outdoors and spending time at the river with his dogs, Lucy and Trixie. He was a loving and devoted father that will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wright, Sr.; and two sons, Leo Jack Wright, III and Lucas Coleman Wright.
Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Wright of Powder Springs, GA; loving companion of more than 20 years, Barbara Barber of Ringgold, GA; son, Joshua Wright of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Lenora & (Gary) Maner of Marietta, GA and niece, Kelley & (Brian) Henry and Caleb, extended family in Birmingham and many wonderful friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013 in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton with Rev. John Purrington officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 in the Wallis-Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes.
