Virginia May Spence, 83, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, in The Colonial Park Care Center, Harrisburg. She was born December 11, 1928, in Monongahela, PA, a daughter of the late John Thomas and Esther Howe Spence.
May was a graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg. She was a retired manager for Bell Telephone where she was employed for over 40 years. She was a member of and past president of Hershey Bears Booster Club.
She is survived by a cousin, Eleanor Hixenbaugh and her family of Connellsville, PA.
As per the wishes of the family there will be no public viewing or services and interment will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, PA.
