"Died -- in Uwchlan Township on Sunday morning, the 3rd inst. -- George Downing, in the 68th year of his age. The deceased retired on the previous evening as well as usual. He coughed in the night, turned over, and his wife hearing him breathe heavily, arose and lit a candle. When she returned to him she found his spirit had fled. The deceased was widely and universally esteemed."
