Polly Anne Walker, of Gettysburg, departed this life on the evening of April 25, 2013, in New Oxford.

Born December 10, 1934 in Hunterstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Taughinbaugh) Deatrick. She was the wife of Ernest W. Walker, Jr. of Gettysburg.

Mrs. Walker worked as a licensed nurse practitioner at the Gettysburg Hospital as well as at the family practice for Dr. Allison, now known as Gettysburg Family Practice.

After retiring she worked as a personal health care nurse. She also worked part time at Rea & Derrick Drug Store and Dutch Pantry.

Over the years Polly enjoyed bowling, going to Hershey Bears hockey games, and attending all her grandchildren's activities and sporting events.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Burnett and husband Donald, of Estero, FL, Dawn Tanger and her fiance Greg Bridges, of Gettysburg, Laurie Stouch and husband Ryan, of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren, Meggan Burnett, Amanda Burnett, Trae Lower, Stacee Piper, Brandon Piper, Jordan Stouch, Jesse Stouch; a great-grandson; and one sister, Eleanor Eiker, of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by three siblings, Richard Deatrick, Carol Stone, and Margaret "Jo" Deatrick.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, May 1, 2013 at the Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg. Burial will be in the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service May 1st at the funeral home.
