MISSOURI CITY, TX - Sydney Stark Martin, age 73, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her family home on Thursday, March 25, 2010. Sydney was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 19, 1937. She attended St. Martin's Episcopal School in Metarie, LA, and the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette, LA. Sydney was a Medical Technologist, ASCP, for more than forty years. Sydney was a celebration of life, and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure and fun of knowing her. She was a tireless wonderful mother, and a loyal dedicated wife, who was a blessing to all and will be dearly missed. Sydney was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Morris Stark, Jr. and Vivian Burdine Stark. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Robert F. Martin; son, Curtis Martin of Fitchburg, MA; daughters, Stacey Blankenship and her husband Dan of Sugar Land, TX, and Hillary Wainwright and her husband Mark of Nashua, NH; and grandchildren, Travis Martin, Hannah Blankenship, Karis Blankenship, Seth Blankenship, and Crissa Wainwright.
