Ernest J. Mercury, 56, of Waterville, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born April 26, 1953, in Jersey Shore, the son of the late James and Eugenia Mafretas Mercury.
He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion, both of Jersey Shore.
Ernest enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and gardening.
Surviving are his daughter, Cassondra L. Mercury of Jersey Shore and one brother, Richard Mercury of Exton, Pa.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main Street, Jersey Shore with Rev. Daniel Kovalak officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Jersey Shore Cemetery.
