Finished 10th grade at Beaumont, Texas high school, and Kid Key, a finishing school. Married Andrew Thomas McDonough, Jr. in 1910. She was a life member of the Missionary Society and the Methodist Church. She moved from Silsbee to New Orleans, Orleans Parish, LA, in 1964, and to The Crosby in Beaumont, in the summer of 1970. In January 1972, she began to live with her daughter in New Orleans.
Mrs. McDonough was a member of a pioneer Jefferson County family. Her great grandfather, Alexis Blanchette Sr., a descendant of Acadians, came from Louisiana in 1849 and settled at Blanchette Cove, 10 miles south of Beaumont.
