Donna Colleen Morey
Donna Colleen Morey, daughter of Charles and Caroline Mach, was born October 10, 1930, at Narka, Kan. She departed this life at her home in Mahaska, Kan., December 17, 1957, at the age of 27 years, 2 months, and 7 days.
Donna was married to Wallace Morey of Mahaska, Kan., on August 10, 1952, in Mahaska, Kan. She spent her childhood in and around the Narka community where she graduated from Narka high school. She was baptized at the age of 14 at the Mahaska Presbyterian church and later became a member of the Narka Presbyterian church. Donna graduated from Hays college where she prepared for a teaching profession. She taught schools around the Narka and Mahaska communities for eight years and was teaching at Hayworth school at the time of her death.
Donna leaves to mourn her death, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mach of Narka, two brothers, Raymond and Loren Mach of Narka, one sister-in-law, Arla Mach of Narka, a grandmother, Mrs. Anna Mach of Narka, her aunts and uncles and other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services were held from the Presbyterian church, Narka, Kan., December 20, 1957, at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. John Frint of Webber, Kan. Graveside services were by the Narka Chapter O.E.S. No. 406, burial was in National cemetery, Narka, Kan.
