Jerry C. Quinn, 76, of Las Vegas, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. He was born in Safford, Ariz., to Frank and Maybelle Quinn. He lived in Safford all his growing-up life. He resided in Las Vegas for 46 years. He worked in retail for 15 years, Nevada Power Company for 10 years, and the Department of Corrections for over 20 years, retiring from there. Jerry served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1956-1958, in the California Mission. He has served six ward and stake missions, as bishop of the North Las Vegas 20th Ward and in the Las Vegas Nevada Temple. All who knew him loved and respected him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Maybelle Quinn; and one grandchild, John Lamar Quinn. He is survived by his eternal sweetheart, of 54 years, Diana; six children, Tammy Ruesch (Kerry), Jerry L. Quinn (Janet), David Quinn (Priscilla), William Quinn (Maury), Michael Quinn and Joseph K. Quinn (Juana); 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and also his brother, Brent Quinn (Sheila). Viewing will be 9-11 a.m., Saturday, April 27, with services following at 11:30 a.m., at Elkhorn Springs Stake Center, 7500 Tule Springs Road. There will be a second viewing 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, in Safford, followed by graveside services at 11:30 a.m., at Safford Cemetery, with the Gila Valley and U.S. Army Honor Guard.
