John Nathaniel "Jack" Reeves was the son of George Washington and Mary Reed Reeves. Husband of Joanna Matlock, whom he married in 1858 or 1859 - sources show both dates. At age 70, he married a second time to Sophia Boyer. He was the father of Mary, Pearl, Mae, William, Emma, and Audrey Reeves. Jack lived his entire life in Crawford Co, MO. He was a Union soldier in the Civil War. Cause of death was chronic institutional nephritis, senility. Informant was his brother, Benjamin Franklin Reeves. Rest forever in peace.
