GEORGE REED HOUT, JR., 50, manager of Carryville Cooperative Farm Supply in Piggott, died December 16 (1981) at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He formerly was a rancher in Randolph County, residing in Pocahontas.
Services were at 2:00 p.m., December 17 at Lambert, Miss., at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Long officiating. Burial was in Lambert Cemetery with Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks, Miss., in charge.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Jean Hout of Piggott; a daughter, Mrs. Suan Smith of North Little Rock; two sons, Jody Hout of the home and Jeff Hout of Paragould; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Hout of Monette; two sisters, Mrs. Alex McGee of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Marvin Whitten of Brookland and one brother, Gene Hout of Monette. --Pocahontas (AR) Star-Herald, 31 Dec 1981; contributed by Freda Roberts.
