Mrs. Franklin was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1957 and graduated from Continental School of Beauty, Buffalo.
She owned & operated the former Franklin's Fashion Boutique, Forestville, for 47 years, was a hairdresser at the Chautauqua County Home, Dunkirk and was a co-founder of Franklin's Kettle Korn.
Mrs. Franklin enjoyed knitting, spending time with her grandchildren and collecting porcelain dolls.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Lyle R. Franklin of Forestville; two sons Jeff (Heidi) Franklin of Germany, Kevin Franklin of Forestville; a daughter, Brenda (Stephen) Nowicki of Dewittville; a sister, Grace (Gerald) Franklin of Florida; and three brothers, Daniel Cummings of Missouri, Robert (Joan) Cummings, of Florida and Marvin Cummings, Sr., of Forestville. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers Arthur Cummings and Kenneth Cummings, Jr.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from where Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. David Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Pioneer Cemetery, Forestville.
