Mr. Fred Earnest Glenn

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Earnest Glenn, 91, of Homer, were held Jan. 24 at the Homer Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Harlan officiating.

Burial was held in Arlington Cemetery in Homer.

Mr. Glenn died Jan. 22 at Homer Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was a retired farmer and oilfield worker for H.H. Watkins. Mr. Glenn was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Hicks Glenn and two daughters, Ruby Berry and Joyce Flowers.

Survivors include five sons, Loy Glenn of Bossier City, Floyd Earnest Glenn of Shreveport, Candy Lee Glenn of Eagle Lake, Texas, Fred Glenn Jr. of Shreveport and Robert Lee Glenn of Haynesville, four daughters, Christine Crawford of Winnfield, Gladys Ray of Minden, Mary Ann Deloach of Houma and Betty G. Smith of Homer; three sisters, Ida Dennis of Leesville, Opal McGee of Arcadia and Jewel Brown of Oregon; two brothers, Rufus and Charlie Murray, both of Arcadia; 42 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Derrell Berry, Loy Wayne Berry, Dennis Deloach, Bobby Crawford, Kerry Glenn and Carrol Wayne Glenn.
