Mrs. Helena Runge, former Waseca resident and mother of a local man, died Saturday morning at the Owatonna City hospital. She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Russell Weatherly, for the past ten years.
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at St. John's Am. Lutheran church, Waseca, with the Rev. M. A. Kampfe officiating at the 2 p. m. services. Pallbearers were Loren Nelson, John Nelson, Vern Nelson, Arlo Runge, Vernon Runge and Henry Mueller.
Survivors of the 71-years old woman include three children, Mrs. Wallace (Marie) Weckweth, St. Paul, Martin, Waseca; and Mrs. Weatherly (Alma) Owatonna; a foster daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Meyer, Bruce Crossing, Mich.; eight grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Nelson, Waseca.
Mrs. Runge was a daughter of Diedrich and Marie Lewer Frahmann. She married Wilhelm Runge in 1910 and he preceded her in death in 1923.
