Danny Fred Morrow of Graford died Wednesday, April 24, 2013. He was 73 years old. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday in the Graford School Gymnasium with the Rev. Barry Holmes presiding. Interment: Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Although he held several different jobs and lived various places, Dan's true home was always Graford, where he lived and served the community from behind the counters at Morrow Grocery and Market. Dan was born Oct. 3, 1939, to Horace Harrison and Grace Lou Erwin Morrow in Graford. He attended school in Graford, graduating in 1957. After high school he attended Tarleton State College, then graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor of science in civil engineering, Class of 1961. Dan served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a civil engineer. The early 1970s found Dan in Graford at the store. Morrow Grocery was started by his father in 1944 and is still operating today. Dan served on the Graford school district board of trustees for 12 years. He attended First United Methodist Church of Graford. Dan was preceded in death by his mother and father; a sister and her husband, Sammy and Jack Couger; and a brother, Erwin. Survivors: Daughter, Lisa Block of Parker, Colo., and husband, Gary, and their daughters, Lauren and Hannah; brothers, Jim Morrow and wife, Billie, and Bill Morrow and his wife, Betty; sister-in-law, Judy Morrow; sister, Carolyn Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
