Carl G. Mayes, 88, of Frederick, husband of Joy (Tunnicliffe) Kolb Mayes and the late Elizabeth (Kreidler) Mayes, passed away Wednesday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Brockway, he was the son of the late William and Grace (Gayton) Mayes. Carl served in the United States Navy. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pottstown, as well as the Pottstown Kiwanis Club and Masonic Lodge, Grove City, PA. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife.
