Stephanie Baker, 32, of Big Spring died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Big Spring. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Shelley officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born June 13, 1980 in Big Spring. She had been an assistant manager at a 7-11store in Big Spring. On Wednesday, April 24th Stephanie Baker left this earth to be with her Heavenly Father. Stephanie had many who loved her and she will be greatly missed.
Though things could have often been better, Stephanie always sought out a reason to be happy and then found a means to share that happiness with others. Stephanie had recently accepted Christ as her Savior so we know that even now she would desire to share the happiness of Heaven with all who have yet to find Jesus, the Only Way to get there. She was met in Heaven by her paternal grandfather, William Hurren Sr., maternal grandfather, Mario Cevallos Sr. and great nephew Mario Matile.
Survivors: Stephanie leaves behind a large family. Her husband, Philip Baker; her sons, Tristan Huckabee, James Baker, and Gavynn Land; her father, William James Hurren; mother, Amelia Hurren; brother in law and sister, Earl and Tammy Matile Titsworth; maternal grandmother, Lupe Cevallos; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Dickey. Many other family members mourn her passing, including stepmother, Karen Hurren, and paternal step-grandfather, Guy Dickey; and uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and her very special mother-in-law, Bonita Baker and family.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Garza, Dennis Knecht Jr, Billy Hutchinson, Trinity Owens, Nick Molina and Otis Porten.
Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Pay your respects online at www.myersandsmith.com
