He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Rose Stehens; a son, Charles Cranston Stephens; and a step-son, Doug McCorkel, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Jerald McCrory of Gonzales, and Mrs. Cecil James of Prairieville; five brothers, Melvin H. and Murphy A. Stephens, both of Baton Rouge, Robert and Emory Stephens, both of Maringouin, and Milton Stephens of Gonzales; two step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
