Service for Oscar Anderson 76 a cattle rancher and retired dairy farmer will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Sherman and Knapp funeral Home in Newport, Washington. Burial will be at the Newport Cemetery in Newport, Washington.
Mr.Anderson, who died Monday, was born in North Dakota and had lived in Cusick, Wash since 1936. He was a dairy farmer and until retiring in 1972 and then began raising beef.
He served on the Pend Oreille county fair board for many years and had been a member of the Grange since 1942 and Diking District NO.2 for more than 35 years. He also was active with A.S.C.S. a soil conservation org. and the Dairy Herd Improvement Assoc.
