The Spokesman-Review, Spokane WA., October 16, 1949, p. 13 [Nellie Mary (McDowell) Allen - 21 Oct 1909 San Saba Texas-14 Oct 1948 Chattaroy, WA] Allen, Nellie Mary - Her home northwest of Chattaroy. She is survived by her husband, Carlos Allen; 3 sons, Carlos Allen Jr., Ceathel and Earl Allen, all at the home; one daughter, Mrs. LaRaine Dean, Spokane; one brother, William McDowel [McDowell], and one sister, Mrs. Zola Dadis of Prineville, Ore., and 2 grandchildren; a stepmother and one stepsister. Funeral Mon., Oct 17, at 2 p.m. at the Hennessey Chapel N2203 Division st. Services will be conducted by Mr. Vern Webb, assisted by Mr. Del Coleman [RLDS Ministers].
