A trucker, he married Jean Marie Hipke in November 1972 in Pocatello. Following their marriage, they lived in Idaho Falls and for the past, several years resided in Blackfoot, Idaho. He died of natural causes. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dean, Ray is survived by his wife, Jean, and brother, Bud Squires.
