Completed his earthly existence at age 89 at home in Springville, Utah following a lingering illness. Born in Springville. The youngest child of Archie W. and Margaret LaRene Finley Roylance. Graduated from Springville High School, Class of 1934. Played football. Avid supporter of the Springville High School Red Devils entire life. Was part of the first four-year Seminary graduating class. Graduated in forestry, Class of 1938, from Utah State Agriculture College (USU). Married Florence Larene Hardy May 24, 1941 in Springville. Marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Served in the U.S. Army World War II. Was part of Normandy Campaign and wounded near Metz, France. Received the Purple Heart. Jointly own the Automotive and Industrial Supply Co. in Springville. A member of several organizations including the American Legion and Kiwanis Club. Served on the Selective Service Board for seven years. Held positions of leadership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served 14 years in the Provo LDS Temple. Greatest love, outside of his family, was the rose garden. Predeceased by his wife Florence in 1984, son John Walton Roylance, parents, siblings: Helen Crandall, Mary Schwartz, Lucy Johnson, Erling Roylance and William Roylance. Survived by children: Ann (Clark) Ostergaard, Brent (Laurel) Roylance, Michael (Patricia) Roylance, Karl (Deann) Roylance, 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Services held Saturday, December 18 at the Hobble Creek 1st Ward Chapel.
