Paxton (PNS) -- Karen Kaye Bittinger, 9, R.R. 2, Paxton, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Chanute Air Force Base Hospital at Rantoul after an illness of four years. She had a blood disease.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, the Rev. Richard McGuire officiating. Burial will be at Glen Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1965, at Paxton, a daughter of Richard Lee and Joyce Bockoven Bittinger.
Besides her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Douglas, Rantoul, and David, at home; a sister, Laura, also at home; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ann Bloom, Lincoln, Neb.; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bockoven, also of Lincoln, Neb.
