Service record: Enlisted as a Private May 15,1862. Enlisted in Co.H,Smith Legion Infantry Regiment Georgia. Promoted to full Junior Lieutenant 2nd Class on Sept. 8,1862. Transferred in Co.H, 65th Infantry Regiment Georgia on March 15, 1863. Admitted on Oct.11, 1863 at Hill Hosp,Ringgold, GA. Wounded on July 22,1864 at Atlanta,Ga. Admitted on July 25,1864 at Ocmulgee Hosp. Macon,GA. (with gunshot wound).
Furlough on August 2,1864 (from Hosp)
Admitted on Sept 3, 1864 at Ocmulgee Hosp. Macon, GA.
Returned on Sept 5, 1864.
Surrendered Co.F, 65th Infantry regiment Georgia on May 15, 1865 in Kingston,GA.
