Funeral services for Louise Darby, age 102, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Shooks Chapel Cemetery with Billy Tom Bailey, Blake Riley, Jimmy Wayne Winfrey, Johnny Ferguson, Gary Stribling and Jimmy Bailey serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mrs. Darby passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Carriage House Manor. Mrs. Darby was born on December 19, 1910 in Cash, TX, the daughter of George Washington and Mary Elizabeth (Gillespie) Skinner. She married H. B. Darby on May 25, 1935 in Greenville, TX. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1980. Mrs. Darby was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and sewing. She became a member of Shooks Chapel United Methodist Church in 1935. For the last ten years she was a resident of Carriage House Manor. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Connally and husband Bob of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Robert Connally of Houston and Diana Riley and husband Blake of Royce City, great-grandson, Jax Riley.
