John H. Jones, Confederate veteran, well known man, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Sam Tunnell at Cincinnati, Saturday morning at 7 o'clock. Mr. Jones was 84 years old and had lived at Cincinnati for 75 years. His wife, Mrs. Lizzie Moore Jones passed away about four years ago. Mr. Jones served in the Confederate Army under Captain Buck Brown, with Senator B. H. Greathouse, Walter Parks and Jim Sharp.
