Henry Thomas Baker was born November 18, 1856 in Harding Yeviol, England and departed this life April 4, 1933 at Farnam, Nebraska at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 17 days. He was the only son of Harry and Rebecca Baker.
At the age of 16 years he came to America and settled in Ohio. He was united in marriage, September 30, 1877 to Mary Julia Pike. To this union was born four sons and five daughters. The eldest son, Fred, preceded him in death February 5, 1898, at the age of 19 years.
He is survived by his wife and following children: Clifford, Bert, Daisy Beye, Dora Whitney all of Farnam, Bessie Gardner of Eustis, Harry of Bridgeport, Mae Litchenberg of Ingham and Viola of Minden; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He came to Nebraska in the year 1887 and located on the present homesite. He made a confession of faith in God 5 years ago. But on account of physical conditions was unable to be baptized and was ready to meet his Master. He was a loving husband and father, a good kind neighbor who will be greatly missed in the community.

This little verse was a favorite of Mr. Baker's. It was read at his father's funeral in England many years ago.
