Marjorie E. Bley was born in Liberty, NE to George and Myrtle (Harris) Fulton. Mrs. Bley grew up on a farm in Liberty until age 18 when she moved to Lincoln, NE to attend college. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and continued on to Bryan Memorial Hospital Nursing School where she graduated from the RN program in 1936. She began her nursing career in Omaha at Clarkson Hospital and also worked as an RN/Surgical Nurse at Nebraska Methodist Hospital. Before retiring in 1970, Mrs. Bley worked in the Omaha public schools in Nebraska as a nurse for 10 years. On May 28, 1938 she married Gerald W. Bley in Liberty, Nebraska. They made their home and raised their children in Omaha. They later moved to Colorado in 1979. Mrs. Bley was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, a Sunday school teacher and she enjoyed painting and loved playing the organ and piano. She was a hard worker and a loving mother and wife. Mrs. Bley belonged to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley and the Women's Guild.
Mrs. Bley died Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Life Care Center in Greeley.
Survivors: Son, Gerry Bley and wife Pat of McPherson, KS; son, William Bley of Pueblo, CO; son, Loren Bley and wife Susan of Greeley; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Fulton of Sun City, AZ; and brother, Robert Fulton and wife Colleen of Virginia, NE.
Preceded in death by: Husband, Gerald Bley in 2000; parents; son, Larry Bley; and sister, Velma Chevalier.
Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2007 at New Lutheran Cemetery in Norfolk, NE.
