Preston, Deborah Jane, 17, Rt. 5 Ashgrove Rd., Nicholaville, died at 2 a.m. Saturday of injuries received in an automobile accident on Tates Creek Rd. She was a student at Jessamine County High School and the daughter of the late Franklin Deleno Preston, and the late Dorothy Jean Hammond Whitaker. She is survived by her step-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Ray Whitaker of Jessamine County; one sister, Mrs. Frankie Scott, Jessamine County, a half brother, Steven Whitaker, Jessamine County; a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Beatrice Crump, Garrad County; and a paternal step grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Whitaker, Nicholaville. Services at 1 p.n. Tuesday at Betts and West Funeral Home, Nicholaville, with Rev. T.T. May officiating Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Bearers will be Lawrence Hughes. Gene Preston, Bert Glenn Preston, John Hughes, Jimmy Whitaker, and Prentice Wayne Davis. Friends may call at the funeral home.
