Kathryn B. Bearden, age 91, of Northport, formerly of Birmingham, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Elmwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield with Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel directing. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.O. Barnes and Esther Gunter Barnes, and her husband, John Bearden, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, William Jackson "Bill" Bearden (Brenda), and John Allen Bearden, III (Beth); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Leigh Bearden, Benjamin Bearden, John Allen Bearden, IV, and James Bearden; and several great-grandchildren.
