He was born in San Bernardino. He lived in Los Angeles County for most of his life. He had lived in Calaveras County since 1994, and most recently in Burson. He worked as a contractor for more than 40 years.
He was the last of nine children.
He was a pilot, then later sold his plane and traveled in his motorhome with his wife. He was also an accomplished horseman who enjoyed traveling and playing horseshoes and pool.
Mr. Crocker is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Crocker of Burson; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilee and Joe Knotts of Palm Springs, Susan and Tom Lucas of Burson, and Carolyn and Reed M. Smith of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Russell Young, Trudy Johnston, Terrie and Cindy Lucas, Jodie Harvey, Reed Smith Jr., and David Smith; and great-grandchildren, Jason and Michele Johnston, and Ryan Young.
