MONROE CITY ­
Ellen L. Gibbs, 59, of Monroe City, died at 6:10 a.m. May 12, 1998, at her home.
Funeral services for Miss Gibbs will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God Church in Monroe City. The Rev. Steve McKiearnan will officiate. Burial will be at Center Cemetery.
Miss Gibbs was born May 6, 1939, in Center to Champ and Martha Thomas Gibbs.
Survivors include one brother, William Gibbs of Center; two sisters, Kathy White of New London and Joan Closser of Hannibal; and two stepsisters, Patsy Jennings of Frankford and Mary Lou Jennings of Center.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Donavan Gibbs.
Miss Gibbs was employed by the Monroe City Sheltered Workshop for 10 years. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and riding in the car. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Monroe City.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Wilkey Funeral Home in Center and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church.
