Born January 22, 1825 in New Hampshire, he married Adeline Burt July 3, 1849 of Lyme, N.H. and was father of 13 children, nine of whom are living. The Abbotts came to Garden City in 1882. He had served as sexton of the Garden City Cemetery since its inception. Funeral will be tomorrow at the Congregational Church."
