ALICE MAE MULLINS MULLINS 92 years of age of Bradshaw, WV passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Welch Community Hospital, Welch, WV. Born in McDowell County March 4, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Ambrose Mullins and Mary Cooper Mullins. She was a lifelong resident of McDowell County, a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church, a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, working in her garden, she would make clothes and shoe horses for the people in the community. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Ex-husband: Robert ?Bob? Mullins; two sons: Elbert Mullins and Leonard Mullins; seven brothers, six sisters and one grandson: Christopher Mullins.
She is survived by three daughters: Murvel Lester and husband Olen of Paynesville, WV, Ruby Powell of Bradshaw, WV, Genevia Marie Atwell and husband John of Union, WV; one son: Virgil Mullins of Ieager, WV; one brother: England Mullins of Paynesville, WV; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Alice Mae Mullins Mullins will be conducted Saturday, May 7, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Mary Lou Old Regular Baptist Church at Paynesville, WV with Elders: George Baker, Philip Estep, Junior Lester, Jerry Stacy, Roscoe Crouse and Curtis Crouse officiating. Burial will follow in the Ambrose Mullins Cemetery on Stateline Ridge#1, Paynesville, WV.
Active Pallbearers will be Shannon Galford, Bobby Dean Powell, Jeremy Powell, John Atwell, Patrick Atwell, Kevin Chaffins and Larkin Mullins. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Mary Lou Old Regular Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at the church after 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
