He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 161st Infantry, Washington Army National Guard, Kent, Wash. Spc. Glenn Watkins was killed when a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Baghdad. He is the son of Robert and Patricia Watkins. He is also survived by his wife, Anne, and four children.
