She attended elementary schools in Lark, Midvale and Jordan, Utah. She graduated from West Jordan High School in 1943 and attended secretarial, stenography and bookkeeping school in Salt Lake City. She worked at Kearns Air Field.
Later on, she worked at the S&H Green Stamp Redemption Center in Idaho Falls. She married Elmer Spencer November 19, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1964.
Following their marriage, they resided for a short time in Long Beach, California and also in Portland, Oregon, before making Idaho Falls their permanent residence. Her hobbies included crocheting, painting, reading, traveling and gardening. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many positions.
Survivors include a son, 2 daughters [names deleted], 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with Bishop Kerry Holmgren officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday for one hour prior to services at the church.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, Eastern Idaho Region, P. O. Box 2650, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83403.
