CLARENCE LANSDOWN
Aurora - Services for Clarence E. Lansdown, 79, Aurora, will be at 2 pm Monday in Bennett-Worminton Chapel in Monett with the Rev. Winford Davis officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Lansdown died at 6:55 am Friday in Aurora Community Hospital after a short illness.
A Purdy native, he retired from the Rock Island Railroad in 1946 in Kansas City. He then lived in Monett until two years ago. He was a member of the Carman's Union and Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church near Monett.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; three daughters, Mrs. Lora Elaine McNeff and Mrs. Helen Christensen, both of Aurora, and Mrs. Pauline Smith, Teague, Texas; two brothers, the Rev. Bert Lansdown, Butterfield and Herman, Purdy; a sister, Mrs. Lorene Miller, Tulare, Calif; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 pm Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Cemetery.
