Helen was survived by her husband Gilbert; sons: Mark (wife Dianna), Richard (wife Kelly), and Albert (wife Bernadette); daughters: Christina Reichelt (husband Steve), Maria Elena "Laina" Livingston (husband Dave); sisters: Tillie Gonzales, Josie Martinez, Rita Apel (husband Charles), Zoraida Martinez, Mickie Medina (husband Dan); brother Anthony Martinez; sisters-in-law: Flora Miakos, Mary Ann Armijo (husband Ted), brother-in-law Carl Naranjo (wife Fedelina), and their families; grandchildren: Leah Pierce, Eve Phillips, Charlie Craig, Michael Naranjo, Deborah Englert (husband Matt), Matthew Naranjo, Jennifer Naranjo, Dianna Durkin (husband Danny) and great-grandson Owen, Alyssa Livingston, Evan Livingston; thirteen other great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Helen was a most loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Helen worked in Los Alamos for the Atomic Energy Commission. There she met her husband, Gilbert, and they were married in 1954 and shared the next 59 years together.
A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial were at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos on April 27, 2013. A celebration of her life was held at the IHM parish Hall immediately following the Mass. A private interment in the Santa Fe National Cemetery was at a later date.
