Marion Russell Causey, 92, died Friday, June 23, 1995, at the Mallard Bay Nursing Home.

Born at Mt. Vernon, MD on May 23, 1923, he was the son of the late John Samuel and Virginia Adeline Hopkins Causey.

Mr. Causey attended schools in Baltimore and for a number of years had been the head of the transportation Department for Victory Lynn Transportation.

On September19, 1938 he was married to the former Mary Josephine Richardson. After that he became the plant manager for Dorset Laundry in Cambridge and remained in that position for 30 years. Later he and Mrs. Causey operated Mary's Gift Shop in Cambridge for several years.

He has been a resident at Mallard Bay for the past month.

He had been a member of Zion United Methodist Church for over 50 years and at Zion had been a member of the Men's Bible class, taught Sunday School, and also taught the Star Class.

He is survivied by his wife Mary Josephine Richardson Causey, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Causey Webb of Cambridge, one son Philip Marion Causey of Salisbury; four granddaughters, Joanne Webb Carpenter of Smithsburg, Donna Webb Baker of Cambridge, Jennifer Lynn Webb of Baltimore, and Wanda Causey Lyons; He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Jessica Carpenter and Grant Baker; one great grand child; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Marion Sadie Causey Miller and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral service held at Thomas Funeral Home, Cambridge. Burial at Manokin Presbyterian Church Cemetary in Princess Anne.
