Carl A. Armagost Jr., 83, Fire Tower Road, Reynoldsville, died shortly after noon Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his home.
Born Sept. 23, 1929, in Mt. Jewett, he was a son of the late Carl A. and Kathryn Haggerty Armagost.
He was married to Amy C. Snyder Armagost Jan. 17, 1953. She survives.
Carl was a retired custodian for the DuBois Area School District with 13 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he served as a Private First Class.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Reynoldsville.
He is also survived by two sons, Carl A. (Lois) Armagost III of Reynoldsville and Samuel E. (Wanda) Armagost of DuBois; two daughters, Eugenia E. (Gary) Siple and Kathy Jo (Robert) Laska, both of Reynoldsville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Christine Hummel of Selings Grove.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Russell Armagost; a brother, John Armagost; and four infant siblings.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Leo C. Cramer officiating.
Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
