Sherry L. Mathews, 57, of Broken Bow, passed away April 22, 2013 at her home. She was born May 25, 1955 in De Queen, Arkansas, the daughter of Floyd and Bobbie McClinton Proctor. Sherry had lived in McCurtain County all of her life and attended Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church. She was a retired secretary for the Broken Bow Public School System, having worked there for over 20 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with her family and friends. Sherry and Paul Wayne Mathews were united in marriage on September 13, 1985 in Clarksville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Floyd Proctor; her grandparents, James and Nola McClinton and Warney and Georgia Proctor and by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Bob Tucker.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Paul Wayne Mathews of the home; her mother, Bobbie Proctor of Broken Bow; daughters, Christy Gibson and husband Bryan and Candi Scott and husband Stanley all of Broken Bow and Amanda Hardaway and husband Eric of Pickens; sisters, Sandy Adams and Carla Hamlin both of Broken Bow; brother, Bob Proctor and wife Fonda also of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Colton Gibson, Kelsie Gibson, Tyler Scott, Trey Scott, Lexxy Smith, Karter Hardaway, Keinan Hardaway and Brody Hardaway; father-in-law, Paul Mathews and wife Rosie of Longview, Texas; sister-in-law, Sylvia Murphy of Broken Bow; brother-in-law, Todd Mathews and Sandy also of Broken Bow; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her very special friends, the Holly Creek Gang.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 6 to 8pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 2pm at the Broken Bow Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tommy McCaig officiating and Cy Davis assisting. Interment will follow at Pine Top Cemetery
